Empowering Chinese residents in Greater Manchester to have a voice in the local community

This workshop aims to bring together Chinese residents in Manchester to give them hands on training in radio production and broadcasting. It will culminate in a live broadcast organised and delivered by the participants. The participants will be actively involved in planning a show using their own ideas/creativity and in their own language. They will learn how to drive the desk for broadcasting, use technology to make jingles, upload and edit songs and to research material for the show. Participants will also meet volunteers who currently deliver a live broadcast every week, and there will be opportunities to join this group after the day’s event. The show they broadcast will be uploaded onto ‘Mixcloud’ to be shared with family and friends.

Pre-registration is required. Please contact either:
Yuen Megson at y.y.megson1@salford.ac.uk or
Louise Wong at Sheung Lok Centre, Justin Close, Manchester M13 9UB. Tel: 0161 272 7482 Monday to Thursday
