We need to talk about toilets! A workshop for LGBTQI youth to create their own silly, serious, weird and wonderful stories about toilet experiences and issues of access – real or imagined
Toilets present so many issues of access for so many people, we really need to talk more about them.
Inspired by the ‘Toilet Tales’ already created by disabled children, this workshop presented an opportunity for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning, and Intersex (LGBTQI) youth to add to our collection of stories – both real or imagined.
Talking Toilets is both silly and serious – we used shadow puppetry and comic-making to create weird, wonderful, political stories.
To share with others the collection of Toilet Tales, they were exhibited at Sidney Street Cafe.
