Green Drinks Manchester present an evening of science and poetry, demonstrating some of the leading social science research taking place in Manchester. Please join us for drinks!

Green Drinks are informal networking events for those with an interest in sustainability, with over 800 events taking place all over the world each month. These events see environmental professionals, or those with a passion for environmental issues, come together and network in a relaxed environment over drinks. The primary objective is to have fun, but also to collaborate, network and in the process provide opportunities for professional development.

This special Green Drinks Manchester event sees science communicator and poet Sam Illingworth host an evening of talks from leading sustainability academics, together with live poetry – and the chance for you to try your own hand at poetry, under the expert guidance of Sam. Of course, the evening will feature the opportunity to purchase drinks and to network in the usual informal Green Drinks manner, so if sustainability is one of your passions then come along and say hello. We can’t wait to meet you!

Doors open at 6.30 for pre event networking, drinks and nibbles.

Due to being held in a licensed venue this event is open only to those aged over 18.
