Intended to combat radicalisation in schools, is the Prevent strategy serving to prevent conversation rather than prevent extremism?
Who’s a suspect? Who’s being watched? Who’s doing the watching? Who’s frightened? Who’s to blame?
Attendees at this event walked into the world of the student and teacher, heard their candid and sometimes conflicting opinions about the impact of the government’s Prevent counter terrorism policy…. and explored pre-conceptions about radicalisation and the issues behind the politics.
