Ageing with healthy relationships: overcoming barriers to help-seeking when experiencing domestic abuse
This event will be a workshop at the Pankhurst Centre with older citizens of Manchester to explore the barriers to accessing services when experiencing domestic abuse and violence (DVA). The event will help the University of Salford and Manchester Women’s Aid to check the findings of work already undertaken with professionals to establish what these barriers are and what would make an effective campaign targeted at people in later life. Participants will be recruited from three separate agencies which already provide services which are centred on the needs of older people (but which does not include DVA).
Attendance at this event is by invitation only
