Using VR nature environments to improve performance and wellbeing

Engaging with nature improves physical and psychological wellbeing but not everyone has access to nature. Can virtual reality be the answer? Come and immerse yourself in a virtual audio-visual environment of urban and nature settings and see how this impacts on your mental (cognitive) ability and your mood. You will have the opportunity to discuss your own interactions with nature and how this makes you feel. You can also provide the researchers with feedback about whether you think virtual reality can increase interactions with nature in settings such as hospitals where green-space is limited.
