The power of design: exploring the role of creative research dissemination
Comprising over 60 objects including hard-hitting posters, books, pictures, designs this event considers the role of graphic design in constructing and communicating messages, which aim to raise the awareness of critical social issues. The event will bring together work by young designers from the University of Salford who have worked with the Sustainable Housing & Urban Studies Unit (SHUSU) and key local grass root agencies to create innovative ways of communicating social research findings. The event will provide policy makers and practitioners an opportunity to explore the role of design in tackling social issues and offer unique insights into how designers and social scientists can work together.
