“‘Prove it!’ Debating social issues with numbers” gave school age students the chance to use data to engage and debate with leading academics.
This multi-format event aimed to get students to use evidence from quantitative social science research to assess and develop arguments related to relevant contemporary social issues. It included an interactive question and answer session with academic researchers in these areas, and a workshop in which students were introduced to using quantitative evidence to develop their own understanding and perspective on these issues. Students will also made group presentations and created their own quantitative data.
