“Little Chatterboxes”

Discover the science behind how children learn to communicate with language at our ‘Little Chatterboxes’ event at the Central Library, Manchester. Join scientists from the University of Manchester for hands on activities and demonstrations all linked to how children learn to talk. Take part in storytelling sessions, sensory play or have a go on an eye tracker. Find out how children learn new words and why they sometimes make funny mistakes when they are learning to talk. There will be activities for the whole family!

There are two sessions available, one from 10am – 1pm and another from 2pm – 5pm.

The sessions are ran by the ESRC International Centre for Language and Communicative Development event (LuCiD). For more information on the activities of the Centre click here.
