This event encourages women to exchange their clothes and explore the stories attached to them.

This is a pop-up clothes swap event with a difference. The event is informed by the research project Narratives of the Unworn, and aims to explore the stories beyond the garments themselves.

The ongoing study suggests that some garments capture emotional connection to past events and are thus kept as reminders, whilst others are perceived as everyday wear with less emotional attachment to the wearer.

You’re invited to bring your unworn garments for swapping and also encouraged to bring your treasured garments and share the stories behind those kept clothes. This clothes swap event is interactive and aims to give women a creative space where they can share their stories through the lens of fashion.
